Room Refresh Projects

San Diego Guest Room

Our client wanted to create a calm, warm, and welcoming retreat for visiting friends and family—while working within a modest budget. Fortunately, the room already had beautiful limewashed walls and distinctive sconces that gave us the perfect foundation.

We built on those existing elements by adding a nightstand and floating shelves to display treasured pieces collected through the family’s travels, bringing personal meaning and history into the space. Finally, we transformed the bed with soft, luxurious layers and an affordable upholstered headboard, creating a polished, inviting guest room without overspending.

Los Angeles Family Living Room Transformation

The client’s original oversized L-shaped sectional dominated the room and limited how the space could function. We shared inspirational layouts to help her envision a more balanced arrangement, then recommended a smaller sofa and a more intentional furniture plan that opened up the room and improved flow.

We also suggested relocating the TV from the adjacent wall and making the fireplace the focal point. To give the existing white brick more presence, we painted it black—adding contrast, depth, and a dramatic layer of sophistication that completely changed the feel of the space.

Los Angeles Dining Room + Play Space

Our clients wanted a dining space that felt modern, elevated, and family-friendly while keeping their existing dining table and chairs. We selected a statement chandelier to create a striking focal point within the open-concept layout and give the dining area its own distinct presence.

With two young children, functionality was equally important. We carved out a dedicated play space alongside the dining area, incorporating kid-friendly furniture and storage that keeps toys organized and within reach—creating a room that feels polished for adults while still working beautifully for everyday family life.

The Westwood Refined Home Project

This Westwood condo was recently purchased in a traditional Mediterranean style, with heavy finishes that felt dated and visually overwhelming. The client wanted a lighter, more refined palette—introducing whites, soft neutrals, and subtle gold accents—without undertaking a full renovation.

We reworked the home using a targeted, design-driven approach, transforming the overall feel through strategic updates rather than full construction.

The Brentwood Full Refinement Project

This Brentwood, West Los Angeles condo presented a unique challenge: the home needed to feel fully staged for sale—while still functioning as a primary residence.

Our client lived in the space full-time and wanted to keep their core furniture pieces. At the same time, the home needed to appeal to buyers, photograph beautifully, and feel elevated, cohesive, and complete.

We approached this as a hybrid between styling and staging.

We refined what was already there—editing, repositioning, and layering new elements to shift the home's overall feel. We evaluated each room for scale, layout, and visual flow. We introduced updated furnishings, textiles, lighting, and decor to create a more polished, intentional environment while ensuring everything remained practical for daily living.

The result is a space that lives well and shows well.

It feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully composed in photos—yet remains comfortable and fully functional behind the scenes. Every detail works together to present the home in its best light, without disrupting the client’s day-to-day life.

This is Full Refinement: transforming a lived-in home into one that shows with clarity, confidence, and impact.
